MCL Injury

MCL Injury

The Medial Collateral Ligament (MCL) is one of the four important ligaments within the knee joint. The MCL runs along the inside of the knee, stopping the knee from collapsing inwards.

The MCL is injured when it is sprained, or overstretched. This most commonly happens while participating in a contact sport, when another player falls across the outside of the knee while the foot is fixed to the ground. This causes the knee to bend inwards which injures the Medial Collateral Ligament.

Bodyassist carries specialised products to assist with MCL injury recovery such as hinged-knee braces, plus a myriad of knee support, protection and compression products to assist with swift recovery from injury.
