Runner's Knee

Patellofemoral Syndrome or ‘Runner’s Knee’ is one of the most common knee injuries, from young and active people to the elderly. This refers to pain felt behind the kneecap, where the patella (kneecap) it falls out of it's usual alignment and rubs against the thigh bone.

Aching kneecaps affect 25% of Australia’s population, but the injury is more common in athletes. Activities where Patellofemoral Syndrome may become apparent are those when running, jumping and landing or the squatting position is required. Some high intensity sports that can attribute to Patellofemoral Syndrome include running, tennis, netball, AFL, soccer, volleyball, basketball, skiing and other jumping sports.

Bodyassist products are designed to provide maximum protection while healing as well as further support to assist in the swift recovery from injury.
